Who can check on my house while I’m away?

Jack D. Davis, a U.S. Military Veteran and local homeowner. He visits your house or condo on a set schedule and sends a photo report the same day.

How much does it cost to have someone check my house?

Single visits run $35 to $65. Monthly plans start at $95 for two full visits a month, or $170 for weekly visits.

How often should someone check an empty house in Florida?

Weekly during summer and hurricane season, and at least every two weeks the rest of the year. Some insurance policies require regular checks on an unoccupied home, so ask your agent.

What’s the difference between house sitting and home watch?

A house sitter stays in your home. Home watch is a scheduled visit with a written photo report, and no one lives in your house.

Do I need someone to check my condo during hurricane season?

Yes. Hurricane prep closes up the home before a storm, and a post-storm check documents any damage with photos for you and your insurer.

What happens during a house check?

A walk around the outside, a room-by-room check inside, AC and humidity readings, water systems run, and mail collected. You get a photo report the same day.

What if something is wrong?

Jack D. Davis calls you right away with photos. With your approval, he can meet your plumber, roofer, or other contractor at the home.

How are my keys kept?

Keys are stored securely and logged. They are never labeled with your address.

Do you do repairs or rentals?

No. Sunny Days Home Watch inspects and reports. Repairs go to your licensed contractors.
